Paul Savignon MBE – Chairman

Paul Savignon has been a prime mover in the Gibraltar insurance market for the last 40 years. He was founder chairman of the Association of Gibraltar Insurers and Managers, now the Gibraltar Insurance Association.

In 1984, he amalgamated various local insurance businesses to form Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society (Gibraltar) Ltd in a joint venture with Norwich Union UK. Paul served as Chief Executive Officer, and subsequently as Chairman of Norwich Union (Gibraltar) from 1984 to 2002.

Paul has sat on numerous government and regulatory committees, including the Financial Services Commission. He also currently serves as Chairman and/or Director of a number of Gibraltar trading and property development companies.
